You chuckled at the background noise of people arguing, even though the meeting hadn't started yet. Among all the ruckus, the voice of the person you'd called spoke up.

"H-Hello?" Lithuania.

"Hey Toris *cough* i-it's me, ___________. I-I'm *cough* sick, so I'm *cough* not coming today, okay? *sniffle*"

"You're home sick? D-Do you want me to come over? I don't need to stay at the meeting-" But Toris was cut off by a very LOUD voice.

"Hey Little Lithy!!! Are you, like,  talking to _______? How is she?" Poland, you loud-mouthed cross-dressing.....

"Hey Poland. I was just *cough* telling Toris that I *sniffle* won't be coming today-*coughcoughcoughCOUGH*" You glared at the fresh blood in your hand from the coughing fit. You hated being this sick and weak, it made you feel FAR too dependent.

"Woah, ________- are you, like, still ALIVE after that coughing fit? Oh, and Leit just ran off, probably to go, like, visit you, so GOOD LUCK CONFESSING TO HIM!" *click* you stared at you phone with a total 'WTF' face. Poland just hung up on you...and Lithuania was coming to check on you? Oh crud.  Wait, worse than that...HE JUST TOTALLY TOLD THE OTHER COUNTRIES YOU LIKE LITHUANIA!!!!  Oh his mini-skirt was SO getting your boot mark on it when you saw him next....

**********LITHUANIA'S POV********

I drove nervously to ___________'s house. Her cough had sounded pretty bad, and after Feliks had to ask her if she was still alive...I have to go check on her.

When I reached _______'s front door, it was locked as usual. Finding the spare key I had, I opened the door and walked in cautiously. There was _________, sitting in a little ball on her sofa, covering her face with a pillow. I quickly pried the pillow away.

"__________! You're already having trouble breathing, right? You could've smothered yourself by accident!" I hadn't meant to shout, but seeing _______ like this made me really worried.

"B-But I *cough* didn't want you to see me like this,*cough* Toris...I *sniffle* hate looking weak and *cough* incapable...especially around YOU!" my eyes widened in shock. Did she....really just SAY that?

"_______...you aren't weak. Or incapable. But everyone needs someone, even you a-and Mr. Russia!" you looked up and I felt my blush grow. Those (e/c) eyes...they were clouded with illness, yes, but they still sparkled just the same...

"D-Do you *cough* mean that, Toris...?" I smiled and hugged my fellow nation...and crush.

"You wanna know what I think of you, _______? I think you're adorable, friendly, smart, capable...I think you're as close to perfect as someone can be. And...Aš tave myliu [I love you], ______. I love you...so please, let rely on me a bit more, okay?"

********YOUR POV********

You were in shock.
He loves me?

He loves ME?

He loves me.....

He loves ME.....

HE LOVES ME!

You hugged him back tightly "I-I love you too, Toris!" you kissed his cheek and his blush intensified to a shade that didn't have a real name, except for 'Lithuanian Blush'. "I'm sorry I didn't *cough* think about relying on others before. I just didn't want to bother anyone."

Toris laughed "Well you could never bother me or chase me away, so lay down while I go get you some tea or something for your throat, okay?" You blushed and nodded, laying back down.

You and Toris were on the couch/sofa, relaxing with tea and watching Christmas Carol: The Musical, even though it's March. You snuggled closer to your now boyfriend and giggled at his blush. Being sick didn't seem so bad with him there...

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* What the heck?

Toris gave you a confused look and you shrugged your shoulders, showing you didn't know who it was.  He got up and opened the door, causing your boss to storm in angrily, breaking some of the floorboards.

"___________!!! I told you to attend the meeting, sick or not! It won't KILL you! And also, no hanging around the Soviets!" he pointed at Lithuania and then turned back to you, slapping you harshly. "You are NOT a human, so I can treat you however I want, stupid woman!" He raised his hand again and you turned away in fear. But the blow never came. You looked up and saw Toris holding your boss by his wrist, glaring.

"Get out. If you ever, EVER try to hurt ________ again..." he held your boss by the collar of his shirt "...Aš tave užmušti [I'll kill you]." your jaw dropped at Toris's uncharacteristic show of....Russia-ness? Your boss fled immediately, shouting that he was quitting his job and handing you over to Russia.

"T-Toris...he said I'm *cough* l-like you now, o-one of Mr. Russia's underlings *cough*"

"Da, you are." you and Toris turned to see Russia and the other Baltics. "Do not worry, you are under the protection of Mother Russia now, da?" Russia smiled warmly.

Toris, now back to normal, lifted you of the couch/sofa bridal-style and smiled at you warmly "Let's go home, okay, ______? Don't worry, Mr. Russia's actually really very nice, he just has a reputation to uphold. And he would NEVER hurt a girl." You smiled and snuggled into Toris's chest.
~And with that,you all wordlessly left to go to your new home...with your new boyfriend and family~
